Book Creator is a simple, kid friendly app to use in your classroom. The free version for the iPad allows one book to be created and stored in your library at a time. The paid version ($4.99) allows for unlimited books in your library giving more than one reading group the opportunity to create and edit. After a book is created, the sharing options are easy to use. I save books to my camera roll and then upload to Google Drive for even easier sharing with parents and colleagues. Check out the amazing examples from first and fifth graders:
This fifth grade class collaborated on their electronic book in teams. Instead of using the internet for a picture source, the students created their artwork, took a picture and brought it into Book Creator for their story. After adding text, students recorded each page. After downloading each book to the camera roll, the electronic book plays as a movie.
